Inspired Spaces
Our final project was to design, plan, and execute a fictitious event.

My event was focused on a Filipino tradition called a Début, where a young female celebrates her 18th birthday, as a coming-of-age.

This celebrated tradition was derived from the Spanish celebrations, Quienceañera.

The débutante chooses 18 males as a "rose", where each takes turns dancing the waltz with her. The sole purpose of the rose is to honour the closest male to the celebrant.
The débutante chooses 18 females as a "candle", who each delivers a short speech about her relationship with the celebrant, advice, and greeting.

The selected theme was from the movie, "The Nutcracker".
